Speakeasy DSL is offering a promotion where you if sign up for their Gamer DSL Service ($60 a month), you can get either a free PS2 or a free Xbox (your choice). Offer ends on September 30th.

Knowing this, would you sign up for a DSL service ($60 a month) to get a free system?
How many months are you commited to?

If it's a year you could probably do better because $60 a month is way too high, I pay $40 a month for my cable service and they usually give you a month free now if you sign up so an extra $20 a month would be more then the cost of a XBOX or PS2 would cost you if you bought one seperately, example:
$60 x 12 = $720 - $200 for system = $520
$40 x 12 = $480 - $40 free month = $440 which is $80 less.
Some place charge $45-$50, but they will give you the first 6 monthes at like half price so it is still alot cheaper.
60 a month is waay too much for broadband. You're basically paying for those consoles.

Its definately not worth it. $60 is way too much for DSL services, and I'm sure you will have to sign up for yearly contract.
I'm planning to get Cable modem once we get our new PC, and that is about $40 in our area, and when you sign on, you get 3 months free. Whis is a good deal :)

Update - Damn. Just read over their terms of service page. They charge a $300 disconnection fee if you cancel your service after the 25-day trial. Sorry. I feel dumb now. =/
If, I'm reading the fine print correctly, you should be able to pick up your choice of a PS2 or Xbox for $59.95 shipped from Speakeasy.net DSL. Their promo reads that if you sign up for DSL service, between today and Sep. 30, you'll get one of the said next-gen consoles. It also says that if you cancel during your 25-day trial of the service, you'll be billed $199 (the cost of the console). So, if you pay for one month's service ($59.95), I would think that you'd be in the clear. They also have a seperate promo that is offering the first 3 month's service @ $19.95/mo. But at the bottom of the free console page, it states that the offer is not valid with any other promotion. To me, that means that you won't be eligible for the $19.95/mo deal, so you'll have to cough up $59.95 (their normal price for 1 month). Good luck, peeps. SPEAKEASY (thanks lenny)
Here in P.R., DSL is $60 a month plus $20 for line fees. Fucking unreal.
