Rage of the Dragons: El Thread Official.

The game looks pretty tasty, but I'd love to know how it actually plays. The home cart just released ($325, bit higher than the norm) and the MVS cart is in the $200 range.

I hope the MVS cart hits the low $100 range within the next few months... I'm quite interested.

I'm interested to see how it plays as well. I love Double Dragon and even if this game is merely mediocre, as long as it's playable it'll be good enough to uphold the DD legacy until/if Technos brings out a new one. Some of the secondary characters look pretty neat too. ;)

I love the art.

The presentation looks awesome.

But I've heard to many conflicting stories on the gameplay to take a chance with 200+ dollars for the MVS cart.

I'd love to try it in the arcade, or check out the ROM of it at some point.

Once the MVS is cheap we really need to get one of these for in store.

Ray (or !Arcade!) might be bringing in some RotD kits for around $210 sometime in the future... I hope he does, even though that is still a bit much for me, personally.

That's alot of cash for a game if you play it for 20 minutes and never come back to it again...

Good or bad, when one spends that much money on a game you tend to make sure you get more than 20 minutes of play out of it...Well, unless you just immeadiately sell it off or something.

I don't care how much it costs.

If the game sucks, I'm not playing it.

It really is a beautiful game. I love Neo Geo visuals taken to their max. I've been curious about it for a while, but will probably never play it (unless VGD really does get one in their cab).

The gameplay has some serious issues that Noise Factory should've dealt with such as the ridiculous damage and easy combos. Once you've been launched, you will either die or eat a combo that takes off at least half your life. The in game visual work does not compare to the illustrations. Sprites are all small, not detailed that well and need more frames of animation. Overall, Fatal Fury 3 may be better looking and playing than rage of the Dragons.
