Ebay... How do I win?

I know that there are some ebay experts on this board, so I'm just wondering.... How do you win?!

Today I got shot down again! I'm trying to collect all of the previous mushroomhead CD's but everytime i lose! can someone offer some advice?!:(

bid $30,000 within the last 5 seconds of the closing, even if its 5 bucks worth of stuff.

Start by buying something worth the money. :p

Heh, but seriously, if you think you're about to get sniped, wait until like the last minute of the auction and big an extra $10 or so, that way if someone tries to snipe it at the last second (unless theyre actually willing to go the extra $11 for a Mushroomhead CD) you'll still come out on top for an extra $2 or so.

i dont think i would pay double the price for 1 cd :-/ So basically there is nothing i can do but old fashion way or sniping??? and BTW Mushroomhead pwns j00

You're not paying double the price, you're paying about $1 or $2 extra as opposed to losing the auction.

well what just happened was the guy beat me by 50 cents. we kept ummm trying to bid 50 cents higher than the other (lol) and then at the end he beat me, i was 3 seconds too late (DAMN YOU DIAL UP)

Um...either dont go onto to ebay or use the buy now. I wouldnt buy mushroomhead cds on bestbuy...

mushroom head played in a club not too far from my house, i did not go but my friends did and they said it was pretty cool.

I've got a plan for you, Napolm:

1.) Look at the auction.
2.) Decide what amount is the most you would pay for the item in the auction. (i.e. "I can't imagine paying more than $15 for that Mushroomhead CD")
3.) Bid the highest amount that you would be willing to pay.
4.) Ignore the auction until it's done. (Don't change your mind, up your bid, whatever)

If you win the auction, then, yay, you win.

If you lose the auction, then, yay, you still win, because you're not paying too much.

If you keep losing auctions, then either forget about the CDs or decide that you're willing to pay more for them. Sniping/making multiple little bids is bad business and a bad idea.

heh... The thing is everytime I lose I get the feeling that its not going to be back on (a new copy that is, i HATE used stuff, it buggs me). But the thing is i know some asshole will just pay 50 cents more than me. But I think I got what you guys were trying to say... Your saying like say I'm gonna spend 20 bux, i dont bid until like 30 seconds left and this sapp thinks hes getting it and WHAM i bid? is that sniping? if it is ill have to practice with some hot auctions, lol
