Without a doubt, one of the greatest arcade games of all time. Its also one of those games which MUST be played in the arcades. 3 players could play at once, using the steering wheel and pedal. Collect nitro canasters and hit the nitro button. Earn money and win races to buy upgrades for your truck.


The graphics sport incredibly well-animated sprites and well-drawn (abbeit dated) tracks. The music, though a bit twangy, is still pleasant to the ear.

I have spent countless hours with arcade Off-Road, and have been disappointed by the home versions. One day, I will own the arcade cab for this one.

Easily one of my favorite arcade games of all time. Nothing on a console can top the "feedbackless" steering wheels of the cab.

I just remembered that HORRIBLE Super Off Road: The Baja for SNES. Ugh.

Worst. Sequel. Ever.

Eh, it was alright, but I liked Super Sprint better.

I can't say I love the game but it's pretty cool. A movie theatre near where I live has had it since it came out. I'm amazed the machine still works.

I liked it, but I logged more playtime on Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat. Basically the Formula-1 version of Ivan Ironman's Off-Road, a local arcade replaced Off-road with Indy Heat. Two of my friends and I would waste our Friday nights in the sixth grade playing Indy Heat. We actually reached the top ten in High Scores, a very big accomplishment for us at the time. I'd love to buy a cabinet of the game one day, but that's gonna be a long time from now.

the original super off road for SNES was fun.. i lieked it

I loved the NES version. The Genny version rules due to the Nomad. Portable Off-Road BAYBEE.

It was decent fun. Funny... it was the last new NES game I got for Christmas, actually.

Me and my friend used to like to team up on the CPU.

And the PINK TRUCK! WHY??!

I liked that game. It was kinda easy and it had a completely different style than the arcade prequel...but still, it was a pretty fun little racing game.

This is the only game that my friends and I agree it's OK to reach over and press someone else's turbo button to screw them up. And we do :) all the time.

Good stuff. Plus those Bikini Babes are HOT STUFF.

I used to play this game all the time cause it was at this local chili shop...good food and a good game (they had it for like...8 years)
