anyone have any suggestions for a PS2 disc that has NO scratches on it the disc is perfect and the PS2 sees it as a PS2 disc in the browser but just wont play
... is it a blue disc?
yes tis be a blue disc
i thought it was that at first but i put in other blue disc games and no problem
i also cleaned the system and this one game is a no go
gamestop takes games that WERE scratched up and refurbs them at some warehouse and i think it was one of those games
but now mind you when we had the refurb machine in our store and I did the refurbing they always worked
im thnking they fucked up wonder if there is anyway to save the game
Didn't you reccomend a lens cleaner?
read my second post
Yeah, nevermind.
when I clicked submit you already posted and I was like "Fuck". Ah well.
no prob
i hate this man i really wanted this game its guilty gear X
fucking people at the warehouse cant do shit right
finally get the game shipped to us and this is what happens
fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
It's possible that the Data on the disc is corrupt or something. I remember reading somthing on the old GameGO! boards about boiling your discs (Dreamcast). I doubt that would do anything.
I guess you've tried it on other PS2s so my above statement is probably the case. The disc is shit. I wonder if they even test the stuff they repair.
i havent tried it on other PS2s yet but tomorrow when i go to work i will
and they probably dont we get soo many of these refurbed discs back and when i was leaving work tonight i just knew it
i said to myself i should test it there but i was like noooo itll work
damn i wonder if sammy replaces games at all
Take it back and exchange it, if you still have your receipt and you just got it within a few days, there should be no problem. If it's defective, they should even refund your money if they can't provide you with a replacement.
well i work there so i can replace it any time i want and i can get my money back its just that i havent seen the game in our store in like 6 months and it was a good 6 - 9 months before that last time
and i dont think any of our stores in the area have the game
why i was going
fuck fuck fuck fuck
Have you tried using Diagnosis? That usually fixes the problem. If, by some reason you don't know how; open disc tray, press triangle on browser, then triangle at whatever is the topmost option on that screen, diagnosis on, then back to the browser screen, click browser, put disc tray + disc back in.
Did I mention Sony sucks? :)
Is it imported?
boiling?? is that a joke?! :eek:Quote:

yeah...boiling...freezing....putting toothpaste on it. someimes people get lucky.
I personally cast voodoo spells on my discs that don't work.
Logic tells me that boiling the disc would warp it.
no its not imported im not that fucking dumb
anyway i tried diagnose turned it on and it did nothing *shrug*
diagnose....as if SONY already knew their systems would fuck up....hillarious.
well ive done some looking and it seems this is a common problem with Guilty Gear X
one person on Andy's board said he went through 4 Guilty Gear X discs that did this
just fucking great
and Sammys support is shit just an email adress and all the phone support doe sis let you leave a mesage up to liek 3 - 5 seconds long
damn it this sucks
Boiling worked for me, my Xbox wouldn't read the newest Demo disk, no matter how many times I loaded it. Then I boiled the disk for like 20-30 seconds, wiped the disk dry with a paper towel, let the disk cool and wallah, the demo disk worked like a charm, too bad there wasn't anything good on it :/
well i lucked out today i called some of the other stores in our district while at work and found a place that had it so i got it switche dout with one that works YAY!!!!
Does boiling the Disk do anything to the Label on the game?
Clash - it didn't with mine, unless your boiling a disk you've done a custom label to. Only real thing I found that went "wrong" with boiling the disk is that it gets a little water in the middle of the disk near the spindle, but it goes away after a bit.
That is fucking funny as hell! :lol:Quote:
