Ethernet Hub question...
Ok...I am getting the network adapter for my PS2. I am at college, so in order to divide up my connection I will need a Hub, correct?
If that is true should I get a 10 speed ethernet or a duelspeed 10/100. The 10/100 is only 10 dollars more. But does that really matter? Will I notice the difference at all, cause 10$ is still 10$, ya know?
Anyhelp would be appreciated.

1) Always try to get 10/100. 100Mpbs is faster than 10Mpbs.
2) You will need to figure out if your connection setup gives you more than one IP per jack/room/whatever. If you only get one IP, you will need a router. A cable modem/dsl router will work fine for your purposes, but they're more expensive.
3) If you can have more than one IP and can afford a little extra, get a switch. Switches actually send packets to their correct destinations -- whereas hubs just "repeat" everything on every port, which is highly inefficient. In short, switches are faster.

Got any good recommendation on switches to get then?

This one good? Im assuming it is and it is only 5$ more then a hub to boot!
EDIT (again):
How is this one? It is cheaper.

I've got a D-link router, and it works fine for both splitting my cable modem connection and sending stuff over networks. The only bad thing is that it's made of cheap plastic, but I don't plan on dropping the thing so that's ok.
I was going to recommend that D-link switch then I saw you already found it :)

Both are good, and those are good prices. My ranking on consumer-level network products:
1) Linksys
2) Netgear
3) DLink
4) Acer/AOpen

No!! Do not get D-Link for a PS2 adaptor. If you ever want to buy a game that uses voice chat (e.g. SOCOM) you will be screwed, because the firewall blocks the voice packets, and it can NOT be blocked, through port forwarding, D.M.Z., or anything else you may think of. D-Link is a piece of garbage, as is their customer support.

go with a linksys router, i got one and it works great.

Rich...was it the switch that you got?
And innova, I dont need a router (i think)
-
Nope, a router, DI-604. And from what I've heard, the other router's didn't work with it, either. But your better off with a LinkSYS anyway, better quality.

Hmmm, I think you are right Rich, I cannot more ports for the same price...thanks for all your help guys.
