I thought the control in the PS2 version was horrid. Maybe that was due to the choptastic framerate...Quote:

Of course, if the auto-aim is as hysterically over-done as it was in the first on PS2, I suppose that won't matter as much. There's something about aiming in one direction and watching the rockets shoot out of your gun at more then 45 degrees to the left that had me laughing my ass off. Talk about over-compensating...
Don't buy UT2K3 unless you don't mind supporting mediocrity.
Well, I was playing two-player on a screen about 17" big, so I couldn't really tell the framerate through the horribly low resolution. It seemed decent, but is certainly nothing to be happy about.Quote:

exactly how is UT2003 mediocre!? It's only been out for a couple days and already , you are passing judgement on it. It would be impossible for you to know the in's and out's of the game.
I suppose you really like Quake 3,huh.
UT2k3 isn't mediocre, it's really quite good. If it wasn't for Q3, it'd be the best non-squad-based online FPS out.
It comes on 3 cd's. Anyone here get the bug where the anti-piracy software keeps you from loading the game? Some people have to d/l the no cd crack just to play the game they bought! WOO! Take that you dirty pirates!
Mine is fine...but I have the orange manual.
Couldn't wait... Bought it at Fry's Electronics after work today. Just played Bombing Run for two hours. I'm happy! Sorta wish I got the orange manual though, but no big deal... :)
