Can anyone give an example of this type of shooter? I believe the shooter genre has been a niche genre for almost 20 years. The fact is, mainstream U.S.A. lacks the hand/eye coordination and just gets frustrated so they simply don't play them. They haven't really played them since the early 8-bit/Atari days. I'm not sure there is a design that could be put into a shooter that would attract the non-shooter player so why bother. It would have to remain too simple for shooter fans to enjoy. Isay, stick with small teams and crank out innovative niche products that can make money selling 50k copies.Quote:

Btw, comparing shooters to fighters is beyond lame. People who don't really like fighting games (or games period) can still appreciate giving a good ass kicking and games like Soul Caliber make you look damn cool doing it. Apples to oranges.
