it was just me ranting in general
Without trying to belabor the point Mr_Furious, my point is not the same as yours. Its not a lack of hand-eye coordination. Its the fact that these games are just ridiculously hard and as often as much (or more) about pattern memorization than hand-eye coordination. Its like, jeez, I have enough to memorize for school.
When I play FPS games Im as sharp as a Japanese sword. My reflexes are tip-top with those, and Im not saying that to brag. When I play shooters, I am destroyed, over and over again. Shooters aren't hard because Americans lack "hand-eye coordination"... they're hard because the companies are making them so fucking difficult that you need to like TRAIN to win, and you have to MEMORIZE patterns. It blows.
A few weeks ago I bought an RCA 27" Colortrack Plus TV from my cousin for $25 -- it 's several years old, the TV tuner doesn't work too well (the reason for him to sell it), but the composite cable inputs still work, which is what I wanted it for (an extra gaming TV).

Today I tried out my copy of Ikaruga for GameCube on it, and decided to put it in TATE mode. The game is simply amazing in TATE mode! It feels like I have an arcade machine at home. :)
One thing I did notice was when the Chapter text is displayed on the screen, a few letters are cut off on the left-hand side. I know you can adjust the hud in-game, but is there a way to move that text over as well?
But... its fun.Quote:

Getting a level down, and blowing your way through it unscathed, makes you feel like hot shit.
Me too :)Quote:

Frothing demand...
Took a look at Sleeveboy's updated post on the first page.

Additionally, in the US GameCube version, the game’s text has been translated to English, although the in-game Japanese text has been omitted altogether.
And Ikaruga's difficulty is ramped perfectly imo.
