Street Fighters 2010!?! Where was I the last 2007 street fighter games? Have any of the old characters made it that far into the future?
/end sarcasm/
Never played the game, so I can't comment much.
I am still afraid to play it...
i LOVE this game! sure, it ain't really street fighter, but it's a great action platformer, with awesome music and gameplay.....think i'm gonna ask my friend if i can borrow his copy this afternoon. and anyone who hasn't played it should try an' track down a copy. i'm surpised this character hasn't made it into a VS game yet.
I enjoy this game... enough that I went on a two week quest to track it down a while back.
A lot of people give this game shit but I thought it was great. It's kind of like Strider but not as good.
It's a game that if you come into it with low, realistic expectations, you'll be fine. Odds are, you'll enjoy it if you don't think about the title too much...
I would have to say this is my favorite nes game ever. Not only was the game extemely challenging but it was also fair because if you died it was usually because of your lack of skill or knowledge of the area. Part of the reason i like it so much is because i mastered it as a kid and man did it make me cry. one of the few games that i would play with tears streaming down my eyes in frusteration. The music rules too. i LOVE IT.
Future Ken...
...no...
Didn't like it. The player character's abilities were majorly lacking, making attacking enemies a chore.
Amazing how this crap game had one of the most clever titles ever:
Street Fighter 2010 - The Final Fight
I wonder when Mega Man Xtremely Bionic Commando will be released...
I thought Ken was the star.Quote:

eh.....i keep fogetting about the horrible story to this game. i never associate the sf2010 ken with the on from the regular street fighter series.
Well, they're sort of the same, but not really. The story and name change was due to Street Fighter being announced for release on the NES, but Capcom decided to not port it after all. To satisfy distributors that had already placed pre-orders for it, they changed the name to Street Fighter 2010 and the main character sort of became Ken from SF.Quote:

So he's kinda the same Ken in the English version, but not in the original.
this game was decent enough to sell on it's own merit...don't understand why capcom had to tie it to a sf...

Am I missing something??
What was the original title?
I believe the title was still SF2010 (without "The Final Fight" added on), but am unsure on that. I do know the characters original name is Kevin.
What... Why...
Is there a reason I never heard of this game?
Erm... you didn't play enough NES games as a young boy?
Apparently not, no. Certainly not, actually.
Ah, here we go: http://www.geocities.com/flyingomelette/sf2010.html
Geebus, I thought it was some little known or phony SF game or some shit..
I played the hell out of it when I got it back in the day. Of course, I played the hell out of any game I got, since I didn't know when I'd get another. To be honest, its been awhile, so I can't say if I love it or hate it now.
Street Fighter 2010!!! It's like... I mean, Street Fighter 2010! OMG OMG OMG OMG.... Street Fighter 2010!
Ummm... never played it. :D
I had a lot of fun with this game. I got it when I was collecting my friends old NES games(early 90s. the new hip systems had come out, and I was relieving them of their "useless" NES games)
I loved it. Creative bosses,, and it was tough powering up(reminded me a bit of the gradius type shooters, if you died, that was it =\ ), but the variety of bosses made up for it~
It's NES? excellent....
Ken was out to avenge his friend "Troy"
Yes, SF2010 was an awesome game. Hard as hell, but good. Yes, the 3rd stage music owned all.
Thanks for bringing this up, Seven :p
Capcom's own little "Mystic Quest"...
the intro/title screen music in mega man 4 sounded a bit like the 3rd stage music from street fighter 2010. anyone else pick up on that?
I wouldn't go as far as to say it's my least favorite NES game, but the difficulty and cheap enemies sucked ass.
Read my earlier post - Yep, that's one of my reasons for liking it so much - it sounds like Mega Man Music. I thought I was the only person in history to pick up on that :D Glad to see that someone is paying attention, so you truly deserve that Mega Man avatar.Quote:

Also, the intro music to SF 2010 is one of my fav. pieces of gaming music ever.
