That IGN snippet sounds like it comes from a Polygon Bias tainted review. At system16.com, the ATEI Show version there looks better than Metal Slug and does not reek of PSX level graphics.
The dolphin ramming sounds pretty cool if you ask me... some of the stuff in the Metal Slug series outside of part 1 gets pretty absurd, and I like it like that. :lol: I don't think the IGNorant Insider crew would be happy unless it was "Saving Private Ryan: The Arcade Game".

What I am referring to is the dolphin kamikaze move. The dolphin smashes into enemy installations to destroy them.

This Dolphin Blue game looks nice, I just wish, like all of you, there was more info.
It would definately be nice to play something new on the Dreamcast... and if this plays nything like MS it will be a welomed addition to my meager library of DC games...

I don't recall that game getting a good review at all from IGN. I think they called it a glorified demo, which is pretty spot on, if you ask me. It just didn't feel like a complete game. If it had some kind of coherent mode connecting the races and a bunch more tracks, it would have been a very good kids game. Remember, it's really a game targeted and 5-10 year olds. As such I think the 6 or whatever IGN gave it is pretty fair. My little brother loves the shit out of the game (he's 5). Next to shenmue and sonic, it's like his favorite game.Quote:

Maybe after the Sega merger Ecco wil become a hidden character, but with the effect Ecco had on the Dreamcast already, that probably wouldn't be a good thing.

It's not fruity, it's made for small children. As such it would be a good game if there were more of it, and more of a 1 player mode. If you hated it, it's probably because you aren't 6 years old.Quote:
