It's fun, but the 3D backdrops leave a bit to be desired, considering the yummy 2D characters. And it is fun...I only played the first stage so I can't say if it's Metal Slug-level brillance or whatever, but I would definately play it if it makes it over in the US.
I wouldn't see why Sammy would bother showing it at e3 if it didn't have some interest of bringing it. There was also a puzzle game (Sushi Bar), a 2D-rendered (or was it 3D?) fighter, a beat em up of some sort...the only reason I noticed Dolphin Blue was a) you guuys had mentioned it here and b) it was the coolest looking game out of all those cabinets Sammy had.
