Has anyone else ever read Foul Gaming Magazine? I just bought it for the first time the other day. The issue I got #10 was actually pretty good I was just wondering if it is always prety good or if it usually sucks.

We have a distro that sends them to us to entertain us. Nothing really great usually... but sometimes they're pretty funny.
i have a few issues that they gave away at e3. most of it was quite good, especially the "how to get laid at e3" article. :)
The magazine is retarded and caters to the lowest common denominator.
Leave TNL out of this... er... oh, you meant Foul... :sweat:Quote:

Good thing that I am the lowest common denominator. :)Quote:

Somewhat funny, but I have to agree with Mr_Furious... if most of you hate sports games stay far away from this mag because that is there main focus (or at least in the couple issues I got) and they hate RPG's... you should have seen the bad review they gave Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis
I dislike this one even more than Game Informer. Even more than I dislike that dork Reiner
I hold you much higher than that, bbobb. As a gaming mag it is terrible. Otherwise, I can see why others find it amusing. I, on the other hand, don't.Quote:

I was going to start a thread about this very magazine.
I like Foul quite a bit. Sure it's low-brow, but it's at least honest about it unlike Maxim or FHM or name-your-crappy-men's-magazine-here. And the reviews are quite perceptive. The Gun Valkyrie review in the "how to get laid at E3" issue was particularly good. There's also a great article about discontinued PSone titles that should be reprinted. These guys have good taste in games.
The latest issue has Ron Jeremy dressed as Mario on the cover. The interview is pretty funny, too.
Hehe... well I do enjoy reading Maxim also... so take that as you will.Quote:

You know all these years I've been wondering why no one ever thought to do something like that. Would have been funny to see him as Mario in the movie, but then it would become a cheesy porn movie with Mario and Luigi double penetrating the princess.Quote:

I'd pay to see that...Quote:

*Wait... did I just say that out loud?*
Yup. Based on the copies I got at E3, anyway.Quote:

I wonder if the OP is the same fellow who started this memorable thread? :)
first post from this guy happens to be a post asking what people think about so obscure gaming ass-wipe...bet this guy is either on it's staff, or some regular here that is too embarass to admit he reads it...
I still don't understand the beef you guys have with this magazine.
It's pretty decent, I tell you. The writing is quite good and far beyond anything in Game Informer or GamePro. This should be obvious to any person who doesn't just flip through the magazine and pass judgment on it.
Never heard of it....
hahahah..mario got his plunger in his pantsQuote:

I'm pretty positive that the mag ia put out by the same people at Multiameda 1.0 in NYC. It's an awesome but over priced game shop on St. Marks place. www.multimedia1.com
Hey, that's where I got the NGPC's Match of the Millenium years ago!
Small world, shitty mag.
Just kidding, haven't even seen it (or heard of it). Passing random judgments is fun. Although if it does focus on sports games, then it sucks balls.
Here's my beef. The magazine should not have the word "gaming" in it's title simply because it doesn't have enough "gaming" content. It's filled with obvious game reviews sprinkled around a bunch of non-gaming dribble. Centerfolds and interviews with non-gaming celebrities doesn't equal much to me. I read other mags for that info. The magazine just feels MTV to me. Hell, they interviewed Steve-O who admittedly doesn't even play games. He says that he thinks playing video games won't get the chicks so he won't play them  Then why the hell is he in a "video game magazine"?Quote:

I got a free copy last summer at the protoaddict DOA3 tournament in NY. I don't know if it's gotten any better since then, but the mag I read was a complete shitrag.
This sounds like a train wreck that I have to watch (err... read... right!). I'll definately have to scope out a copy of this.
dude, i was there too. they handed me a free copy of foul, took a look, and gave it back. and those doa3 girls were horrible looks wise, but really friendly. and proto addict can suck it now.Quote:

Really? We were the guys who were jumping around and yelling and acting retarded. Some funny-smelling french guy said we had good energy and that he wanted us to work for him, and I ended up actually working for Protoaddict for a month or so 'till I got canned for sucking.Quote:

As it turns out, the owner of Protoaddict is a big-time Hentai producer and owns an animation studio in Thailand. Protoaddict was just a side project, since the guy was already making money hand over fist on hardcore pornography. Last I heard they were moving to Los Angeles or something.
The DOA girls worked in a burrito joint down the street from Protoaddict HQ. Explains a lot, don't it?
[Edit] And Protoaddict does suck. Huge hairy balls.
