Any Problems with your WaveBird?

Mine was virtually unplayable , which is strange because I had it for about 1 1/2 months or so. It was never abused or dropped. It worked great when I first got it and it sat for a few weeks. I went to play my new copy of Starfox and it was unplayable. the light was flickering on and off. I switched channels and batteries. The only way the light would stay on was if I lightly pushed the on/off switch. Almost like the on/ff switch would not stay in the on position. Glad to hear everyone else is not having problems so if they send a replacement or fix it, I should be good to go. My wife confirmed that Fedex picked up the package already

I haven't been using mine much lately, I guess cuz I don't want to waste batteries since I can use the wired controller without much problems. When I go back to college though... that's a different story.

My only problem came when my cordless phone would ring... the wavebird somehow got set on the same channel and wouldn't function if the the phone was on... but that was simple enough to fix once I put two and two together.

Heh. A couple weeks ago, my receiver just simply stopped working. I've tried switching channels, trying it on other GameCubes, nothing. It's just dead.

I've been meaning to send it back to Nintendo for a replacement. Hopefully I won't have any more problems, since it was a nifty unit while it lasted.

Genouille, wavebird works on the same frequency as a wireless phone..

Can you use more then one wavebird? Id imagine not....

Yes, you can use multiple wavebirds by changing settings on the receiver unit. I've only ever used one but heard that there is no trouble when using more than one.

I would love to have multiple WB's going with some multi-player TimeSplitters...might have to invest in a few more :evil:

Of course you can.

Thats what that little dial is on the bottom of the controller. It allows you to set diffirent frequencies for the pad so multiple controllers can be used in conjunction.

That happened to me, but after I switched frequencies, it worked fine.

Mine has worked like a dream. I got mine on release day, and I've never had so much as a hiccup from it. It wigged out when I used up my batteries, but that took an amazing amount of time. Finest controller I have ever bought.

I've used 3 of them at once with no problem, by the way.

Sometimes it seems like it loses reception (button command won't go through) but it's really rare. Not sure if it's the controller or the receiver, haven't changed the batteries yet. Besides that it's worked like a charm.
