I like that Sega loved wasting money and gave us two great soundtracks. They did that with Shinobi Legions as well (North America got the original and Europe got the remade one in that case).
I'm glad I'm finally not alone in thinking that. The Japanese music is pretty fruity.

I like the Japanese soundtrack mostly because it's consistent with the chiptunes in the past stages.

My thing with toot toot is that it doesn't actually match the animation at all.
And what the fuck was Segas deal with music like that? They put that mellow elevator music sounding stuff in so many cd based titles.
