LONG LIVE GORF
The C-64 had two versions of Donkey Kong. This version is from Atarisoft and was probably the best home version of the game at the time.
Ocean did the UK version, which graphically appears closer to the arcade, but the sounds are way off.
The Colecovision version was missing a level, had Donkey Kong on the wrong side of the screen in the first level and skipped the animations leading to the next level.

I was hoping that the NES version of Donkey Kong would be arcade perfect, yet they somehow screwed that up.
The NES had a lot of great exclusives, but it also had arcade ports that C-64 and Atari computer gamers had equal versions of.
The Colecovision had pretty solid hardware, but with the cartridges only having 32KB of RAM, the programmers had to take shortcuts and cut down the games to fit within the specs.
