Two posts up. Beat ya to it. Pbbbbbbth!

edit: Curses! The time stamp is on bbobb's side this time.

  2. I don't read your posts.

Anyrate, it's at least interesting what they TRIED to do with it, which was replicate FMV-game gameplay in a sidescroller. Terrible idea and execution, though. I don't think I ever got past the first screen, personally.

I agreed. The SMS Shinobi is a really good port of the arcade game.

You want a shitty port? Try Enduro Racer. Now that's a shitty port of an awesome arcade game. Outrun SMS was slightly better (at least it remains the faithful to the arcade).

  6. Didn't the SMS do golden axe halfway decent as well?

As Neo mentioned, this game is neither shitty, nor a port. Certainly not nearly as good as the arcade version, but it's a different game, and it's fun.

I think it is shitty. It is super easy, I remember being done with it within a day or two. The game has no challenge whatsoever. Yah, it is not a port because SMS couldn't handle the arcade version. But Space Harrier SMS gave me hope.

  9. This thread is bringing to mind the Mega Man games for DOS.

Good call. I actually kind of liked those back in the day, but they required you to have a system that ran at like exactly 6Mhz to run at the right speed.
