    Melty Beads

Any of you guys ever do anything with melty beads? Walmart had a huge pack of them like 75% off, so I got some to make some 8 bit art.

  2. I've made coasters and boxes, but all of my friends matrices are the honeycomb style ones not the square grid type you need to make pixel graphics.
I did buy a Sonic bead sprite from a kid that had a table at a computer show. I felt bad for him. Nobody was buying his shit.

  3. I've always wanted to try them, but never have. I'd go check Wal-mart, but there actually isn't one near me. Did it seem like a price on them that would only be for that local store (like a random clearance section or something), or a sale that might be wider spread?

probably just local. They run a pretty big mark down isle compared to other walmarts.

But maybe. Are melty beads considered seasonal? They had all the toystory melty beads marked down from 13.00 to 3.30.
