Thread: This Month's Haul: November 2015

  1. Grabbed Guilty Gear Xrd ~Sign~ digitally for PS4.
It's $15 for digital on PSN AND Amazon, PLUS both have 10% off digital purchase codes right now ( PSN: FH24P5BDR6 | Amazon: L1L2R1R2 ), but SonyRewards got me $20 free to PSN, so...

...I also got the new re-release of Tomba 2 with that credit + code. A+++ would get free games again.

I got this monitor. It does have some backlight bleed, but it's good enough for me to keep it. It's a great monitor.

I don't post often in these threads, but uh, I think Walmart fucked up on my PS4 order...

Pricing mistake aside, damn am I glad I don't live in Canada. 12% in taxes and a video game console fee?

  5. WTF is a video game console fee? Is that a special luxury tax?

It's an environmental recycling fee. In exchange, it's free to drop off old electronics for recycling.

  7. 12% taxes is not so bad considering I had free health insurance when I lived in Canada, and I wasn't even a citizen.

Heh, so Canada makes consumers pay to recycle?

It is here too, though that is likely a city policy.

Nothing is free. Someone is paying, though it probably wasn't you as a non-citizen.

  10. 'Planned for and rounded-in health insurance'
