Thread: Toe Jam and Earl 3 Pictorial Extravaganza!

  1. Toe Jam and Earl 3 Pictorial Extravaganza!

The 12 Sacred Albums of Funk have gone missing, and so our heroes from days long past have returned to restore balance to the music. Joining up with our two titular characters is the new alien Latisha, rounding out the trio for Toe Jam and Earl 3: Mission To Earth. Use our heroes to traverse 25 levels among five environments, either solo or teamed up with a friend split-screen-style.

Coming this month to your big ol' XBox, prepare yourself for the return. Hopefully the rapping contests from TJ&E2 will also be coming back...

Some pretty shitty graphics, but I can't wait for this game nonetheless.

  3. The reason they seem shitty is because they're running at about 640x480 (which is really good for a console) but are being seen through our higher resolutions. Most games' actual graphics look far worse then this; you're being misled by low-res blurring.

  4. Actually, he may have been referring to the low poly count on the enemies and the sloppy seam-filled textures. Thats the first thing I noticed anyway.

PS: I can't wait for this game. It looks awesome.

  5. I like the low-poly count, personally. Helps give the game its own style in the way they used them, although some of the characters are freakishly hideous (the cheerleader scares me in a Stretch Panic sort of way).

  6. The polygon detail and textures are pretty crappy too, by Xbox standards. Looks like a DC game. Nonetheless I am a devotee, and the game is more about style than anything else anyway. I still wish they set this game on Funkotron, though. I just loved the art and atmosphere of the second game.

  7. My god! That's one ugly looking game. What's with the pixel mess for trees? And can those character models look any blockier?

I hope this game runs at least 60 FPS.

But like everyone else has already said, I'll still get it.

Exactly, but as a person who lives and breathes for TJ&E, I assure you I'll have this game.

  9. If I remember correctly, the game's levels will be randomly generated like in the first game. If so, that probably explains some of the seams, and would actually make the graphics quite good for a randomly generated game. Anyway, this game will be mine.
