Since the Xbox released in Germany on March 14, a price war of sorts has developed. Major retailer Media Markt slashed its selling price on Xbox consoles from 479 euros ($399) to 399 euros ($350) right after launch, and other retailers responded. Recently, a Regensberg branch of Media Markt has lowered its price to a ludicrous 149 euros ($130). The catch? These Xbox consoles come in a different kind of bundle: with two cellular phones and their service contracts.

In need of a real vacation....
Hopefully it will eventually help sales, but Microsoft really needs to drop the price there.
