After its arcade release, Capcom ported the latest installment in the Alpha series to the respective platforms on Saturn, PS One and Dreamcast. Meanwhile, some several months later, the powers that be saw to fit to release a slightly altered version to the original, featuring the 4 Super Turbo challengers and a number of gameplay tweaks.
