Thread: Combo videos

  1. Combo videos

Since everyone now seems to be in a fighting game frenzy, I think it would be an appropriate time to look for more combo videos and share the wealth.

I think we all know of the incredible Summer's End Tournament [Third Strike] video by now... But does anyone know of any other goodies?

There are a couple semi-decent videos over at www.fireballtournament.com. But they aren't exactly tournament videos. [Go figure.] They're against dummies, mostly.

So anyone have links to REAL videos? Like all-out no nonsense tourney vids?

EDIT: SFIII, SFA3, MotW, and some CvS2 will do... No MvC2!!

  2. I remember snagging a bunh of CvS2 and MotW videos from a place called http://www.gamecombos.com IIRC, they had some GGX and Rival schools stuff, but I never bothered to download those.

  3. Most combos vids that I've seen have been against either dummies or in practice.

Neither of these seem to be up right now, but if you can get through they have some great stuff.

    http://www.fighters.net/

  4. If you are looking for some SF3 videos I recommend the ones made by SlimX.. he made 3 videos the first has the best combos for every character [best in termn of damage] the others 2 are just crazy stuff and trying to break the game as much as possible

Hey Mech I think Fighters.net is down because I click the link and the page is all blank

  5. What Mech said.

You cannot go wrong with Whitey for combo videos, he is truly the champ at that shit.

  6. Fighters.net is no more, fellas. Sadly.

By the way, I used to run it with the aid of Reno.

Although, I have a grand collection in Chtml\fighters.net\backup_10_16_02\

MajinRyu is right about Slim's work -- those combo videos he has are evil. OTG shoryukens, 100% urien combos, and all sorts of other shit. But I think, as far as SF3 goes, the award for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence goes to the TOSF crew. Holy SHIT can those guys play SF3.

  7. Fighters.net is no more, fellas. Sadly.
    NOOO!

  8. Fraid so. And there's not a damn thing I can do about it, either... because if there was, trust me I would.

  9. Figthers.net will always live on in my memory best source for information of any fighter is sad that is no longer with us, sad indeed

cka did you know the names for TOSF crew?!?! and if I not mistaken I think those videos were encoded for them but they were not the ones who make all those combos or I’m wrong?

  10. All of the TOSF footage was taken either from their tournies or it was the work of Nelson (aka pCat), who is part of the TOSF crew. I've only met two of the TOSF 3rd Strike players, but from what I remember, the crew consisted of pCat, No_Mercy, Kei, SOS2, Cool_Killer.

The TOSF SVCD should be ready soon. They'll be releasing sales info on it this week, and from what I heard it's about 85 - 90% complete. Should be interesting to see what they put on there. I know that they'll be putting all of the Summer's End matches as well as Parry Exhibitions, but from what I heard there will be a couple of surprises on the disc as well. Every SF3 fan needs to buy this.

As for match videos, your best bet is to get IRC, log onto EFnet and join #gamecombos. They have a ton of fserves there to accomodate all of your needs. They have new footage and all sorts of old school footage. I got a SF2 Hyper Fighting Gamest video and JumpSuit Jesse's ST Fei Long Exhibition at ECC4 that someone capped, those were AMAZING.
If my memory of her has an expiration date, let it be 10,000 years.
