Thread: This Weeks Haul

  1. GTA VC-Awsome!
    Hitman 2 -sucks.
Lord of the Rings: FotR- Average.
    THps 4-nothing new.
All this fighting. Over toys and games?

  2. Sega Touring Car import($5) - ohhh baby, I'd be in heaven if the cover wasnt sunbleached to almost white.
Sega Rally import($5) - same thing as touring car, horrid sunbleaching.
Soul Hackers import($10) - Had the slipcase and card, no idea how it is or what it is, but hey.
Some Tengai game from Hudson($?) - free with the other 3, no clue at all what the hell this thing is, but it was free.
NES Dogbone controller($2.99) - Figure I can get it to someone who can use it.
Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt cart ($.29) - the collection continues.

    That's all I think.

  3. Crazy Taxi 3 - $29.99 from Circuit City. Not sure if this one is worth even the reduced price. Seems like more of the same and why do I notice slowdown on more than one occassion?

GTA: VC - Still sealed and unopened. Will give this to a buddy as a birthday gift.

Hunter the Reckoning - $29.99 from Sam Goody. Fun game, though I see myself playing this only with friends.

  4. Night Raid (JP-PS) - Played for a bit and I actually like it. I can understand why others rip on it but whatever. It's got a different style than most in that the art's more surreal and it it's very colorful. The game looks solid and barely slows down.

Taiko No Tatsujin (JP-PS2) - This is just damn fun. It's that drum game by Namco. The peripheral is of solid design and the gameplay is more simplistic than Drummania. It's very affordable even with the controller. Bought new over at VGD for $69.

Space Fisherman (JP-PS2) - The words "only from Japan" spring to mind. This game is funky to say the least. You're a space fisherman (duh) and you must cruise around space fishing. The art design is very Spumco inspired. When you catch a fish you can then use that fish as bait to catch larger fish. There are a ton of spaces in your "tackle box" so it looks like there's tons of variety of fish (or fishlike creatures that is). The play mechanics are really unique and I was having a blast playing it for a while.

DDRMAX (US-PS2) - uh, it's DDR. Not much more to say except if you like DDR you'll like this installment.

GTA:VC w/ soundtrack boxset (US-PS2) - Yup, it's GTA3 except better. Setting the game back in the 80s was pure genius.

    Disney Golf (US-PS2) - Haven't played yet.

    Ferrari F355 Challenge (US-PS2) - Haven't played yet.

    Fur Fighters: Viggo's Revenge (US-PS2) - Haven't played yet.

Red Faction II (US-PS2) - Haven't played yet.

Eggmania (US-GC) - Haven't devoted too much time yet but initial impression is it's fun.

    Shenmue II (US-XB) - Haven't played yet.

  5. Mr_Furious: What are the minigames like in Taiko no Tatsujin? I plan to have it by Christmas. It really looks amazing.

  6. GTA: VC- w/o soundtrack because I am not a true gamer.

  7. I've been searching for an NES dogbone controller for years, where'd you find it??? BTW Space Fisherman sounds like a game with my name all over it, any remote chance of it coming to the US?

  8. NES dogbone controller... Try ebay? Or Funco? Those MIGHT have it.

  9. Ebay never has just the dogbone controller, it's always the top loader (which I already have) plus the controller plus 15 bad games as a package for 400 bucks. I've been searching 4 different funcolands for years and have yet to find one. I can find those shitty Genesis/SNES controllers where the Dpad is a flat panel that uses infrared or something to know where your finger is every time I go there. What the hell?

  10. Gamestops around here are packed full of those things... I don't know why you'd want one though :/
