If you play it on the Cube, its a pretty good game. If you play it on anything else, your just plain wrong. I think thats where most of the hate stems from. I don't think everyone has seen all versions.
Eh, just speaking the truth as of late.

Gahahaha. Jesus christ, kbuchanan. What are the differences between the Gamecube and Xbox Turoks? Slightly better frame rates in multiplayer and "better colors"? Something like that?
Nothing close enough to actually make the gameplay experience of the two games that different - at least not enough to move a "pretty good game" to "just plain wrong"
How can you be such a gigantic Nintendo fanboy? Like, I know their games are good, but this is just absurd. You're moving beyond the realm of stupid personal opinions, and into the domain of psychotic corporate flacks and communist color guards and things like that.
Really? My post up there was "absurd"? Let me read it again.
No, I just don't see it. Sorry to go so crazy on you Stone.Originally posted by kbuchanan

Yeah, but even on NES, if a flying thing's wingtip touched the wall, it didn't explode into a giant ball of blood - no body, bones, or Turok, just a big water-baloon blood burst.Originally posted by MechDeus
Ahh... good ol' classic 8-bit thinking. Because everything explodes when it dies. Everything.
Whatever. Faceball kicked ass.Originally posted by SpoDaddy
For all those "great" FPS games you named, few have moments as memorable to me for their sheer fun as that one.

There does seem to be a lot of hate for the game on this board, but, that hasn't stopped my friends and I from playing multiplayer(and having fun) into the wee hours of the morning. Turok does not rule, but it certainly has it's good points, namely multiplayer. If you have friends to play with, 30 bones is justified, at least for the Cube version (sorry Stone, but it does have a better framerate, sue me).

Don't rent, wait another week until its cheaper than a rental...
How did you get the Galaga ship with 1500 posts?
You bastard...
Yep, it's true. Most of us have kbuchanan on ignore.Originally posted by Stone

The game was fun. Period. I beat the entire game with no cheats, and it took a long time to do it. Did it have issues? Yep, plenty of them. It was still fun, and as has been correctly observed by several people who played through the game, it DID get quite a bit better (and more challenging) as it went along.
Don't want to play it? Fine by me. But at least some of you are missing out on a game you'd probably enjoy.
