You basically have three levels of non-meat eaters: Vegetarian, Vegan, and Macrobiotic. Vegetarian means a focus on vegatables, but specific kinds of meat-related products are allowed to be part of it (dairy and the such). Vegan is simply no meat product of any kind. Macrobiotic is when a food substance has no meat-related product of any kind come into any sort of contact throughout its growth, conception, processing, cooking, and handling as is genetically possible.Originally posted by burgundy
What's a macrobiotic?
All food I've encountered so far that's macrobiotic has been the most bland tasting crap imaginable, but I have very limited experience with it. There's actually a place down the street from my work that's even more vegan then our restaurant, but I haven't gone there yet. Maybe I will just to see if they have anything tasty, although my bias is not expecting such.

Now I've seen it all.
