I have never bought a manga... The only thing I've read was Full Metal Panic that came with Newtype.

So... What are some personal favorites?

I'm reading Chobits, Blade of the Immortal, Marmalade Boy and I'm about to pick up Shadow Star and possibly Eagle.

Nausicaa. Greatest manga ever. You ever get one manga, its this one.
Blade of the Immortal is badass samurai manga.
Secret Comics Japan is a great collection of great left feild works.
Those are my favorite 3. I really like these, but they aren't perfect imo-
Ghost in the Shell, Lone Wolf and Cub, and Akira .
