Panzer Orta Secrets

Sega revealed today that its upcoming Xbox shooting game Panzer Dragoon Orta will feature a special Appendix mode. Therein, players can unlock a variety of special features including the original Sega Saturn game Panzer Dragoon. Moreover, players can unlock a movie retrospective featuring footage from several installments in the series and special CG artwork. Panzer Dragoon Orta is scheduled for release on December 19 in Japan and will retail for 6,800 yen. Initial shipments of the game will come packaged with a limited edition music disc, and Sega also plans to release a special Xbox bundle featuring a commemorative white colored Xbox console, Panzer Dragoon Orta game, and silver necklace.

well, that's easily worth the delay if you ask me.

I really hope they upgrade the graphics at least somewhat in PD. That would be so fuckin sweet.

The other night I dreamt I had this game. I just walked into Fry's and there it was. I went home and played it, and the first stage was like the demo. Then I got to the second stage, and it was a remix of the Uru Ruins stage from the first PD, even the music! I was like oh shit, this is sweet. The enemies were all from the PDO demo though. Then at this one point the level branched out and I was in some kind of underwater cavern with waterfalls flowing on all sides, kinda like the canyon in the beginning of PDS. Alas, it was only a dream.

That's an awesome ass addition. I played the PD Orta demo on the new OXM, and it's looking really good, I can't wait to pick it up.

Whoa, I thought I was the only one who dreamt of playing upcoming games that I've never actually played...

A couple of weeks ago I dreamt I was playing Mario Sunshine and it was fun as hell. Only thing is that I've played the game a total of 5 minutes, so it's like my brain was making me play what I wanted it to be.

LOL same here, I often dream about games I haven't played. A lot of times though, they look totally weird, or else I buy the game but I never get to play it, or wake up right when I pop it in.

Ummm... PD1 wasn't the reason it was delayed. It was in the copy OXM reviewed. And a video 'retrospective' smells suspiciously like a cheesy barebones clip show like the Shenmue DVD that's with Shenmue 2.

Neither is responsible for any delays....

Panzer 1 supposedly is a direct PC port, no enhancments.
