It used this weird leveling system where all your stats leveled independently, and in order to gain HP you had to let yourself get hit or attack your own characters. Alot of it came down to who was "lucky" enough to get hit, and putting chatacters in the back row would make them drastically underleveled. Because of needing to take damage to level, you had to do all your leveling by wandering around near towns and going in to heal every 5 minutes. They gained proficiency with different weapons independantly making it a chore to sqitch weapon types, and the whole game was paced so that you had to deal with this retarded leveling crap for hours on end just to get by. It was unplayable.
