Oohh, I really can't wait! I think the fact that I can play on Live, but not with any games I really like makes it that much worse. If I'm having a blast playing a motorcycle sim, which is about as far as you can get from what I would normally play, I'm going to lose lots of sleep to a game I actually want to play.
I personally can't wait to play MotoGP online. I love that game offline, and just being able to play with 15 other people and watch as they fly off the course at sharp turns is so awesome Man, I swear if I can't get Live to work I'm going to just break down and cry like a baby
I don't see why it wouldn't work. It was as simple as anyone could ask for. Just plug in your ethernet cable & the Xbox does all the technical work for you. All you have to do is imput your Personal & billing info with the controller, which is what makes it take as long as it does. You should be online in 15 minutes or so.
And yes, it is totaly amusing to see the big plieup on the first hairpin turn. I still haven't raced a session that didn't have at least a 4 bike wreck on the first big turn. It's even better to hear them all swearing like sailors when it happens.
Well the thing is, I've got a USB DSL modem. Apparently my ISP is supported by Live though, and they have instructions for how to work it for my setup on xbox.com, but still, I don't want to jinx anything. To set it up I've got to use a crossover cable from my nic to the XB and then use ICS to share the connection. Hopefully I'll figure out everything OK, it sounds like they made it as fool proof as possible.
Does anyone have UC yet? I have seen all kinds of release dates for this one, so who knows? EB says tomorrow & GS says today. Whoever gets it first will get my cash, thats for sure.
