    Toy Commander

I was looking thru my pile of shame and came across Toy Commander, I think I bought it at Target for $5 earlier this year. I did play it briefly once but nothing grabbed me in the short time I played. Maybe I need to give this game another whirl.

Any fans? or a Favorite DC game?

  2. Wow, what a great game. I loved the mission with the flooded kitchen where you had to dive bomb the submarines. Nice multiplayer too!
Look out, man, Wooly's gone ape-shit.

  3. I think Toy Commander is super nice. I have never finished it due in large part to the staggering difficulty(IMO). To me, it's a keeper and I do intend to troop through the more difficult missions at some point.

I think it's fantastic. I picked it up for $10 last winter and I thought it was wonderful. I would even recommend it to people at the full original price. I enjoyed it that much.

One thing I will say is that you need to give the game a little while to get used to controlling the different vehicles. Especially some of the strange ones like the copters. Once you get the hang of it it can be tonnes of fun. I have played many a mission where I ended up playing the game for hours on end not realising how long I was playing. There is a great variety of games and gameplay. Each room has neat shortcuts and secrets. The multiplayer modes are really fun as well because of the diversity of vehicles.

Overall I'd say this is a great game. It's one of my favourites.

This game is great, but its also shockingly hard.

All in all, I am quite glad that I own it.

  6. One of the best overlooked games on the system. The sheer variety of missions and ingenuity of completing some of them was incredible. The controls are a bit loose, but after playing it a bit, you kind of realize why it has to be. Play it for a bit. It'll grow on you. The first 3 or so stages are just to get you used to the controls. Then you'll be doing all kinds of things, from racing, dogfighting, sending bombs to enemy bases, playing hide and seek... man... I feel like firing it up again now.

I really wanted a sequel, but I hear No Cliche is basically dissolved now. Tho... I remember that Sega did purchase them so I don't know if anything has come of that.

  7. Great game, definately worth the $5-$10 it goes for nowadays.

  8. Great stuff. I'm very glad Adeline/No Cliche are back.

  9. I enjoyed it.

  10. I found it very frustrating and hard. I did spend a few hours completing a few missions. The flying/landing was a bit difficult to control.

I have a demo disc with a Special Toy Commander XMAS level , did any of you guys try that one. I still have it and will bust that out and my Christmas Nights for the Saturn to get me inthe holiday spirit!!
