Don't you shmups.com regulars remember? According to local legend, he (Felix) was hit by a car and spent a long time in recovery. All the while (or maybe it was right before he was hit by a car) someone allegedly swiped his PayPal login and racked up a fortune in ebay charges. Of course, I don't know the guy personally, so this is just what I read on the BB when he made a brief appearance after his "accident".

Still, there's no excuse why he hasn't paid you back yet. The fact that he vanished again is all too suspicious. I guess it's possible that he truly pulled some ill shit and BSed his way out of it.

Thanks for the update, Kosh. I should visit the ol' shmups board. It's been way too long.

The "Shmupdated" forum looks fantabulous. It's no longer a Charlie Foxtrot like the Network 54 board. I'll be sure to head on over there.
