I took this test to see the inkblots, and I was surprised that I envisioned mostly evil or depressing scenes. For a while, I thought the test would tell me I was driven by fear.

I think only one image was kind of pleasant, though one of the inkblots looked like a Compile spaceship blowing up a city. When asked if it reminded me of anyone, I said yes, because it reminded me of Mode 7!

Whether you know it or not, your unconscious mind is defending your internal emotional experiences. It acts like an emotional dam that helps you keep things in check. One reason for this could be that you have a deeply-rooted fear of being flooded by emotions. In response, your unconscious acts in the opposite manner, by protecting you from unpredictable, emotional tidal waves.

While this tendency might be useful in some circumstances, it may also at times make your emotions hard to articulate or grasp. And that can lead to some frustration.

Since you tend to appear level-headed to others, they feel they can count on you for sound opinions and advice. Another benefit of your unconscious drive is that it allows you to remain calm in the toughest of situations. "James, your unconscious mind is driven most by Resistance." It says that this means I keep my life very private, when in fact I am very open with others, even to the point where new acquaintances are made uncomfortable by it. When I saw the results page, I almost chuckled.

This test is somewhat worthless to me. I could predict as I went along what they would think of me based on my answers (I read a college psychology textbook as a kid ), but the main problem was that I needed to explain my answers further, and far too many questions had no answer listed for me.

Out of all of the types, I'd say that I'm driven by curiosity. The description given by maruchan sounds exactly like me. Even though I'm sure some would say that it's not accurate to choose the type yourself, I'm being as honest with myself as I possibly can be here, and I'm sure that is more accurate than an automated test on a dating website.
