Thread: Fire Pro Wrestling D - Dreamcast

  1. Fire Pro Wrestling D - Dreamcast

    Fire Pro Wrestling D.

I love this game, I really, really do.

It seems like every time I play, I see something a little different, or figure out some new strategy or string of moves.

I never really got much into the create-a-wrestler side of things as the language barrier was just to much.

For me all the fun as come from the gameplay. As a long time fan of fighters, this game (while not as technical) gives the same sense of appreciation as a match of SFA2.

I'd also like to suggest that anybody that has ever found themselves sitting in practice mode for hours trying to perfect a combo will get a ton of enjoyment out of this game.

Just gotta try and look past the redneck 'rassilin fan stigmata and give it a few matches...

    *Lucha/J.Highflyers own all...Curryman and Tigermask 4!*

    Best Wrestling game ever.

Try downloading edit packs for endless fun tho.

    Vader does lots of criticals.

  4. Vader is DA MAN in Firepro. Well, he and Misawa.

Yea, I've downloaded a couple already.

I always read about how infrequent the criticals are.

It seems like with some guys (Curryman!) I can hit a critical with his finisher like once out of every three or four matches...

    Hogan's leg drop criticals alot.

    Taker's last ride too.

I once did a critical with RVD"s split legged moonsault.

Johnny Smith has some brutal looking moves and he can end matches quickly.

Figured out how to blow fire or mist yet. Sabu, Muta and a bunch of others can.

I'm a sucker for the barb wire, or lightbulb death match.

Yea, I remember doing that in the Fire Pro for GBA too.

Speaking of the GBA game, I played it for so long I always forget about using the weapons in D...

  8. I'm a firepro fan. I am NOT a wrestling fan. This series (especially in its earlier iterations) transcends the "sport" of wrestling and is just amazing.

  9. Mitsuharu Misawa, AKA- one of the greatest of all time.
