Thread: Pee Wee Herman

  1. Pee Wee Herman

Well Paul Rubuens hasn't been Pee Wee for awhile but I enjoyed his Pee Wee's Playhouse show when I was younger. Pee Wee's Big Adventure is a classic IMO.

    Any fans?

The whole jerking off in the Adult Movie theatre killed his career as Pee Wee that is.

  2. You're fucking kidding me with this thread right? For those of you who can't remember pee wee's playhouse, I'll point you here so whatever respect you had for Laurence Fishburn will disappear as you see him play the Nude Cowboy. For pee wee herman.

  3. I use to watch this along with that Ernest show on saturday morning when I was in kindergarten.

  4. You're kidding right? This is only because of the recent child porn allegations right?
"The only way microsoft would make something that doesn't suck is if they made vacuums"

  5. It was messed up what happened to Earnest. "Those trolls in his movie are just to scary for the kids! What was he thinking!?" =\ trolls or goblins or whatever it was.

  6. Ernest was great - pee-wee was gross.

  7. Ernest was the best. Pee Wee is strange.

  8. Pee Wee was the man. Back in the day, he was my hero. Remember that huge wad of aluminum foil he had? That thing reached the roof. I also liked his ice cream recipes(he always just mixed chocolate syrup and ice cream in a huge bowl).

    Ernest was equally awesome.

  9. Ernest all the flurkin way!!!
"I see the world didn't end yesterday."

    "Are you sure?"

  10. Man i must of watched pee wees big adventure over 1000 times when I was young, and then we have the one were pee wee is a farmer (or whatever), that one was kinda... weird. I was a big fan of Ernst a lot as well.

dude I remember watching that movie "Earnest Scared Stupid" when I was in 3rd grade.

I was so scared by it that i had to leave the theater. For about a year after that, I thought there was something under my bed.

I watched it a while ago and it was shit... but damnit that scared the shit out of me. And I've been watching scary movies since like... i was 5.

    Shut up.

  15. Earnest and Pee Wee were the shit back then, you know what I mean Verne?

  16. I have the most vibrant memory of playing the original mario bros. after watching the Ed Grimly cartoon whilst on vacation in ocean city... Kinda weird.

  17. i'll take that as a yes for ed grimley. suck it andy!!

Take your post. Now consider the opposite(ie: "I saw Earnest scared stupid and wasn't scared at all" etc). And attach your nice little finisher to it. Because by someone disagreeing with you, you are now obligated to stop talking. If that's how it works. =\
I suppose rezo(youth edition) gave the kids too much credit. I don't remember my exact thoughts from back then.
But hey, at least it may have been the greatest scary movie you'd ever seen up until 3rd grade, what with the reaction. Yeah, that's the beauty of the Earnest film. They worked on so many levels. =\

  19. I've seen Ernest saves christmas, only film he made that ever made sense! :P I can remember before Pee Wee was a household name, he did a skit with his character in one of the cheech and chong movies as a stoner and I'd say he was pretty messed up.

btw, did you hear about the actor who played Ed Roonie from Ferris Bueller's day off? He's being charged with child pornography, I always figured there was something wrong with that guy!
don't wanna tangle with you, I'd rather tangle with him.
I think I'm gonna bash his head in...

  20. Ernest and Ed Grimley ruled.

  21. Pee-Wee was the freaking man! Pee Wee's Playhouse was one of the few live-action shows I actually watched as a child (along with WWF, they were pretty much it). Still have very fond memories of the show, and Pee Wee's Big Adventure is still one of my all-time favorite movies.

"Take the red pill, Neo. If you don't, I'll show you a picture of me in a blue cowboy outfit with a really bad Jerry Curl wig on. Don't make me do it, Neo...DON'T MAKE ME DO IT!!!"
    omg TNL epics!

  22. I used the watch the Saturday morning show. I liked it, but Peewee's Big Adventrue was awesome. "I know you are but what am I?"

  23. So why don't you marry it?

    jackass!

  24. Heh. It's all classic stuff.

But has anyone seen PeeWee's original stand up thing? The thing that started the Playhouse?
"Yarr... what two round things are missing from this picture of a mermaid, PeeWee?"

  25. I used to watch Pee-Wee's playhouse on saturday mornings - i remember that it was the last "fun thing" left to watch on a saturday morning because right after it ended all the cartoons were through and the news specials began - blah. So it was a bittersweet show for me - on one hand, I enjoyed the show, but it also marked the end of my saturday's ritual - and then i had to go find something else to keep me from boredom. Man - if I get bored so easily these days, it makes me wonder what the hell I used to do as a kid!

  26. I liked Pee Wee's Big Adventure but the scene with Large Marge scared the crap out of me when I was young. I would freak out whenever it was on at my cousin's house and it got up to the part where he had to hitchhike... then I saw it again a few years later and realized that Large Marge was made of clay.

  28. It's sad what kids have to watch nowadays. We had a ton of great shows that they'll never get to experience.
