I really like the first one. And I think you should definitly hunt down that one too, if you havent already. Such a fantastic series it is.

And now I have to buy the damn thing! Ugh. I wanted a simple diversion, and it turns out to be a fantastic game I can't pass up. But I don't have time or money to go tracking down and playing "old" games right now! Bad timing on my part.![]()
Anyway, I love how the whole thing is set up. The level designs actually take advantage of the fact that everything is 3D. Imagine that, it's not just a gimmik. It also has very refreshing play mechanics. You can't really jump too far without also throwing an enemy at the same time. Cool! Parts of the game feel 100% "puzzle" instead of "platformer". I like it. It makes me think (but not too hard
). The framerate is exactly where it needs to be for presise controll. Everything looks nice overall aside from 1st gen PS2 jaggies. I never saw the infamous PS2 jaggies for myself before. Now I know what the commotion was all about!
Anyway, any other fans of this game here? I can't belive I almost passed this one up entirely.

After playing only about 2 hours, I honestly don't know why this series isn't massivly popular. The game appears to do everything right. Even klonoa's "wa-hoo" voice sample. By the way, what are those things growing out of his head anyway?
Long things that flap in the wind? They're Klonoa's sex organs.
See, he's either the only one of his kind, or of a very rare breed of... thing... So, if he ever comes across a female of his species, he's got two of 'em just to make sure something happens.
...terrible, disgusting jokes aside, it IS a very good game. First game I bought for the PS2. Good luck finding it, though.
Yeah, that "wa-hoo!" is great. I'd make it my IM chime noise if I could. It's unfortunatly bogged down my its lack of masculinity re-affirming nekkid chix, and large weaponry. Some people, like those that ihabit this board, can see that its just a fantastic game regardless of its exterior, which I happen to like alot.

Yeah, I've never seen it anywhere myself. The primary reason I rented it was that I was just so shocked that Blockbuster had it. Kind of a novelty "when will I ever see this again?" sort of thing.Originally posted by ChaoofNee

is the cube version still coming?
Ears man, ears. I've played the PSX and GBA games. They're fun. I've been looking for this game since I bought a PS2, but I haven't been able to find it in my area.

I loved the PS1 and PS2 games. I have yet to play the GBA version- I have to hunt down a copy. What a great series.
And yeah, those things on his head are ears.

I played through the PS2 version, decent game, but it left me feeling empty and unfulfilled at the end.
