From reading Japanese message boards (I'm getting this 2nd hand since I don't care enough to do this), the controllers are being called "Better than arcade perfect" as those who have these controllers like them more then the arcade ones. It's nice and sturdy with a good feel to the buttons, and the position of the turntable is arcade perfect. I guess they're just really good.

I guess I'll celebrate today by playing 20 November on both Beatmania and DDR....

As for IIDX beginners, I recommend either 5th or 6th style. They are the only home versions with Beginner modes, and belive me, you'll need that.

5th style has much easier beginner songs (and they're still hard when you just start!), but 6th Style has those awesome videos of the pros playing impossible songs.
