Thread: NES A/V questions

  1. NES A/V questions

Ok... Did the NES come packed-in with an AV cable when it was being sold? I don't remember having anything other than a crappy RF cable..

Is there anywhere other than eBay to find some AV cables? Can you use... "ordinary" AV cables with the NES?

  2. I use my N64/GC cables for it.

  3. That must be the top-loader, Jeremy, 'cause the original has ports for a red and a yellow cable. I'd just go to Radio Shack and nab a couple.

Thanks... I was hoping that would do the trick.

  5. Yep the original NES deck came with insanely long red and yellow RCA cables.

  6. my Original ROB NES came with just regular A/V cables and what jeremy has MUST be a Famicom top loader because the NES Top Loader does not have the Multi-Out that the SNES, N64, or GC has

HOWEVER the japanese Famicom top loader did have that
    Where I play

Since every Famicom is a top loader, I think you mean the AV Famicom.

And the top-loader doesn't have any A/V outs at all. The SNES-and-after Nintendo cable won't do anything for your NES.

Especially since most Famicoms do not have A/V outs. Just the later models, which I believe resemble US top-loaders.
