Thread: Azumanga Diaoh anime version

  1. Ep. 5 did me in. For good. I definitely need an official US release... now.

    [I have not seen eps. 3 or 4, however. Only 1, 2, and 5.]

  2. Looks like ADV was kind enough to pick up the Azumanga movie [which I did not know about until now.]

I'm dying to see this on the shelves of Best Buy.

Oh, and has anyone seen this set?

  3. The manga link is down. =\ Damn. I loved what I read of it earlier. I'd really like to see the comic strips come out here. Much more so than the anime.

  4. we watched like a whole season of it at anime club.

It's INCREDIBLY cute...so cute I'm torn between wanting to hurt every character and going 'AWWWWWWWWWW.'

  5. [Does Kaorin feel something for Sakaki~?]
I feel something for Sakaki :P

I have yet to feel the urge to hurt them, since it usually happens from themselves without me having to want to cause them pain. Come on, that cat never gets old.

  6. Small update: the US release will be on six discs.

    None of that odd-7 nonsense.

  7. Wow, six disc release? ADV hooked us up with that apparently. I've only seen the first half of this series, but from like episode 3 on it's just hilarious. Do we know when the first DVD hits here?

  8. The ads for the anime in the back of the manga say "2004."

    Let's hope that's, like... January 1, 2004-ish... and not December 30, 2004-ish.

  9. Look's like they're keeping the original cover art... Fun.

AoD says: Azumanga Daioh from ADV is finally listed. 5 episodes on the first disc and a disc and disc+box variation.

    Still no farking date, though.
