DoDonPachi Dai-ou-jou...when?

All righty...

It's been a few years since I've played the original DoDonPachi. I also didn't know there was a sequel. Someone told me something about it coming out next year or something. Can someone offer a little more insight? I'd really like to check this out!

I think you mean the PS2 port, because the game's already
released for arcade use.

It might come out this year, it might come out the next,
but no release date has been announced yet. And I'm unsure
if Arika hired the super players they were looking for to
play test the port, so I doubt even Arika knows when it
will be released.

I'd like to see it come out either before or during Q1 2003. I can hardly wait. Here's hoping Arika has hired the testers.

As long as it's a perfect port, Arika can take as long as they want. I need to save el cash for this one and a JPN PS2.

is there absolutely no chance that it'll come out in the US (for ps2) ?

I'll be getting the import. I wouldn't say that there is zero chance, but I wouldn't bet $10,000 on it coming out here due to that lame bias in the US industry. Psyvariar and Shikigami didn't.

I hope they give a release date SOON. And I hope they include the black label version, there was a vague blurb on Arika's site which indicated it might not be in there but it's too vague to tell. Japlish ya know.
