Oh, damn! That's awesome! Looks like they based the figure on my favorite version of Jason (Part 7, The New Blood). That fucking rules! Any idea what sounds it makes, or when it's coming out?

As cool as that 18" figure looks, I prefer the 12" figure that Sideshow is releasing this year. I'm buying that one on first sight. Barbie had better watch the fuck out.

For those that have no idea what I am talking about, this is a scene from Jason Takes Manhattan. The guy Jason is attacking is Ken Kirzinger, the man who replaced Kane Hodder as Jason for Freddy vs Jason.

Hey, nice shot from the movie! Yeah, ol' Jason's about to send Ken flying over the counter and into a mirror in that scene. Ken IS bigger than Kane (as you can see in the pic), but who knows if he gets the mannerisms and stuff down right. I still would have liked Kane to have played Jason in FvJ...the man was good. His body movements were perfect and he made a very menacing Jason, plus he was plenty big already.

In that pic it looks like Ken is trying to kiss Jason...

That's pretty funny. That was years ago too, who would have thought? Weird, Chapter 8 was on last night on TNN.

I watched a good portion of The Exorcist last night, I haven't seen it in a long, long, long time. Still a terrifying movie.

Non-Spoiler review from an early screening of FvJ that I found at BloodyDisgusting.com...sounds awesome!!!!

"Okay,... just got back from the screening. Final thoughts? It was good, I really enjoyed it. There was enough of both characters to keep the fans (like myself) happy and the audience was eating it up! Lots of cheers for this movie... everyone was chanting Freddy's name right before the lights went down (sorry, there was very little cheer for Jason... at least from where I was sitting).

Lots of fun, definitely the kind of movie I've waited to see for a long time. Oh, big surprise... Kelly Rowland is NOT the new Busta Rhymes (though she did use the F-word a little too often), the girl was my biggest fear and she pulled it off pretty well. All of the actors did pretty well in the movie.

I did have a few minor problems but nothing that would keep me from seeing the film again on the big screen. I promised I wouldn't spoil anything and I plan to stick to that out of respect for the fans and the people who run this site. There are some moments of pure genius that you guys have to see with fresh eyes (if anyone else saw the film tonight... please try to control the spoilers).

I will say something that is probably going to piss a few people off... how do it put this lightly? Well,... if Kane Hodder was to hang up his hockey mask and retire, I would be more than happy to see Ken return as Jason. The man is an absolute BEAST in this movie, I mean he is one brutal *****!!

Some last bits of interest: Visually this movie resembles a cross between JASON LIVES and NEW NIGHTMARE, it just has that look and feel to it. Temp music was some stuff from Mark Isham's BLADE score. Movie ran about 1 hour, 45 minutes. Got to meet Bob Shaye and Sean Cunningham after the movie."

From what I read it is a scene of a buff Jason walking down a dimly lit street and the camera pans up to show Elm Street. This is kinda old so the preview may be modified or completely different.

Just to elaborate, here is a description by someone who saw a teaser at the last Fango convention.

It kicks off with an Elm St. girl singing the Freddy rhyme, then shows clips of Freddy with the narrator saying stuff about how "none can surpass his evil, except one." Cue Mr. Voorhees and the crowd went really insane. The rave in the cornfield is gonna be a highlight - Jason, standing almost as tall as the corn stalks, appears behind a group of revelers & hell breaks loose. They showed Freddy chasing someone through the woods, the scene exnoctem mentioned with the girl on the dock trying to pull young Jason out of the lake as Freddy was trying to drown him, Monica Keena laying awake in bed & it closed with a beautiful high shot of Jason walking down Elm St, machete in hand, with the street sign in the foreground & 'Summer 2003'.

New Line Cinema has confirmed that the first trailer for 'Freddy Vs. Jason' will debut in front of 'The Matrix Reloaded' on May 15th. Not that you needed another reason to go see the continuing adventures of Neo, now you have one anyone, damnit. Along with the teaser trailer, which will reportedly run about 1:08, New Line will also be premiering the teaser poster that same week in theaters nationwide and on the 'net. Good stuff for those of us that don't venture out into the cinema the way we used to...'Freddy Vs. Jason' opens everywhere August 15th.

Also, people who have sent e-mails to New Line inquiring about the trailer, they recieved a response saying: The trailer will be coming out next week. Thanks for your question. See you at the movies!

Jason's had his head blown off...hell, he's had his entire body blown up and has even survived re-entry! Jason's more bad-ass then you guys give him credit for. I'll admit that, in the dream-world Jason would be at Freddy's mercy, but if they got Freddy into the real world like they always do, he'd be Jason's bitch.

Besides, how do we know that Jason is dumb? Just because he doesn't talk doesn't mean he's stupid. He knows enough to cut the phone and power line before he goes into a house to kill everyone inside...

I think it all personal references, thats all. Some people like Michael Myers or LeatherFace, where I think they both suck. Just a matter of opinion.

Freddy got played out when he stopped being a scary killer and became a stand-up comedian. The original version of Freddy was a damn frightening dude, but he got so watered down towards the end of the series that it was sad. Jason got popular because people dig unstoppable killing machines that wear cool masks. He remained bad-ass- you'd never see Jason carrying around a fucking doll like Freddy did in part 3. Now shaddup.
