Thread: denki BLOCKS!

  1. denki BLOCKS!

Here is IGNs review of it:

I just picked this up today, and all I can say is BUY IT! Its a great little puzzle game for the GBA that came out of nowhere. I am having a blast playing it, and best of all its only $15! So you can't go wrong. There are plenty of modes, and something like 270+ puzzles. Its not a Tetris or Tetris Attack type puzzle game, you actually solve a puzzle. Its great fun.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  2. Yes yes yes!! I have had this game for ages. I picked up the Euro version last summer. I had tried a demo and the game was so good I could not wait. It's digital crack cocaine! The puzzles are diabolical and great fun. Be sure to go for the special shapes too... that's half the fun!

ps. I just found a demo (the one I had tried last summer was a different downloadable one) for anyone who may be interested:

  3. Now that looks damned interesting right there. I might pick that up this Friday when I head out to EB.

  4. Ohhhh this is a great game! I picked this up for pretty cheap last summer in the UK and I am surprised to see it's available here now for so cheap. I've been seeing it at EB here for $24 CDN. It is so much fun, very colourful, very addictive, and challenging. Highly recommended indeed.

  5. It can get pretty tough too. I still can't get the very last puzzle in the first pic.

  6. i would concur on this one. it is *so* worth $15. =)

though it gets devilishly hard later on.

i really want these guys' new platformer, go! go! beckham (i don't think majesco is going to publish this here, so i'll have to get a friend to pick it up for me in the UK.)

i think this is the first non-japanese console game to look convincingly japanese. i could be wrong, though. and of course it's not 100% (the fonts are actually better than they would be in a japanese game, i think. hooray for designing your text display for english from the start!)

  7. Go Go Beckham does indeed look rather neat. Denki seems to like to keep the same type of features in its games, denki BLOCKS is on Puzzle Island, and Go Go Beckham is on Soccer Island. They both have Clubs and both have a type of Guru type guy advising you. Interesting eh? I wonder if Majesco will bring it over, I don't see why not.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  8. even if they do bring it over, it took them like a year to put denki blocks out here, so may as well import it (if you have the means.)

they like islands because they're quite obviously overly influenced by yoshi's. =)

Wow. That game does look really neat ... despite the fact that it's got Beckham in it.

    I love those Denki graphics.

  10. I just picked up this game at EB for 9.99 new and it is GREAT!

This is probably the best puzzle game on the GBA and the best original puzzle game I have played in a long while.

If you like puzzle games you will LOVE Denki Blocks. I am spending SO much time with it. There are so many hard to figure out puzzles, I'll be playing this one forever.

    A must buy.
