Just bought Gunner's Heaven

I've been trying to build up my PSX import collection and finally found this little gem:



I know it's no Gunstar but I'm itching for a little run-n-gun action and this game is pretty darn good.

Anyone know of any other noteworthy imports for PSX? I'm also looking for Mega Drive games. Monster World 4, Devil Hunter Yohko, Golden Axe 3, and Alien Soldier are priorities on my list.

Gunners Heaven isn't bad. It's like a lesser Gunstar with artwork similar to Media Vision's other games like Wild Arms.

For other PS1 imports I recommend Kyuiin(horizontal shooter), Pepsiman(3d run 'n jump), Fist of the North Star(beat 'em up), The Game Paradise 2(horizontal shooter) and the Capcom Generations discs.

Fist of the Northstar! That's another one I want. Damn, I'm such a newbie at PSX imports. I haven't a clue about shmups and other stuff outside of the games I mentioned. I own Donpachi and Gatchaman and am searching (desperately) for a PSX copy of Dodon-pachi.

I'm not big on fighting games and the Tobal series never really caught my attention. The game's cool and all but it doesn't really interest me that much.

Nice find. Gunners Heaven is one of the best 2D games on the system, and well worth the price for platform-shooter fans looking for something a little faster-paced than your average Metal Slug.

I saw this a long time ago in GameFan, but was never able to track down a copy. Patience for me, I guess.

Fighter, I actually found this game about an hour ago by pure chance. I got it off 16-bit (he sells a lot on the Neo boards). I was perusing his site and clicked the ebay link. As I went down the list there it was. Needless to say my grubby little fingers quickly snatched that mofo up!

Congradulations! One of my favorite PS games. As far as the PS import scene goes, you need to get Photoboy. Sure, it's just a straight port of a PC Engine game, but it is just too quirky to pass up. I might also suggest any and all DDR games.
