Here's an impressive shot of T-Zwei which I'd loosely describe as a mix of Einhander and X2:

Just played T-Zwei. Thanks for the link. It's very nice to look at but... IMO it's downfall is overuse of blending effects, it's difficult to see what will hurt you in the game, especially the walls. Also, the game tilts the screen and your player as well as your bullet stream but the enemies still fly in their regular non-tilted patterns and its difficult to target them.
If I was going to make this game, I would keep all the alpha-blending in the background and not make the lava bursts so transparent. I would stay away from tilting as well. The enemies are beautifully rendered but still appear flat. I felt more depth in Tengai(Sengoku Ace 2) which doesn't use Direct3D, but does use some clever tile animation effects.
If I was going to make T-Zwei, I'd have made it play good.
Now to see if the other has a demo.
Zen'ichi is the better one of the two, IMO. The quick shot bonus (like that in Raiden Fighters 2) is in this one as well as a good multiplier system. While it may not be as flashy as T-Zwei, it plays far better. I'm looking forward to seeing this one completed.
T-Zwei's swarms of enemies take too many bullets to kill, much like Project X2. You need a special weapon to take them all out. Atlanteq needs to rebalance it.
