Thread: Dynasty Warriors 4.

  1. Dynasty Warriors 4.

    Found it on GA.

Can't decide if I should import or wait, Koei was gonna update its DW4 site Dec 27 right?

  2. I thought that the US version was coming out a month or so later

  3. Dynasty Warriors 4 hits the US on March 25th.

Has anyone picked up Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends? It's a $29.99 expansion to DW3 and can be played as its own individual game or in conjunction with DW3.

  4. I picked up Extreme Legends yesterday. I've only played a little of the co op mode so far and I didn't notice anywhere near as much slowdown, it only slowed down once when we both hit a critical mushu at the same time. I didn't really explore the bodyguard system but it looks like there's a lot you can do with them, and you can find a second, more powerful, weapon for body guards now. It has 7 new levels but I don't know what I'll unlock when I load my DW3 data. I'll post more thoughts after I play iot a bit more (If I can tear myself from Orta )
Currently Playing: Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster (PC), Let's Build a Zoo (PC) & Despot's Game (PC)

  5. We already have the complete US copy of DW4 in the office. I'm looking forward to playing it when I get the chance, it's a great series. Besides, after playing the sub-par PTO IV (it seemed a lot more fun in the SNES days), I need a better KOEI game.

  6. Click the link for a trailer and a advert with some misplaced music

  7. It is different from 3, right? Because I didn't see much of a difference in the trailer, though it was short. I think I'll wait for reviews before touching this.

It's probably as different from three as three was different from two.

  9. Where is the love for DW?
Any way changes include, 50 stages, 3 or more characters, one on one fights with generals to boost morale. catapults, bridges battering rams etc. The ability to use elements like Fire, ice, poison etc ,all in all 6 different ones if I'm not mistaken, with your weapons.
Create bodyguards(or maybe it was generals). Elephants exists on every stage also.
It seems to be more strategic this time around, I haven't heard what the broadband unit will be used for.
So I would say that it's a bigger step than DW3 took.

  10. I just got DW3 (U.S.) at Target for $14, my first time playing one of thes games. I really like it so I am highly interested in this sequal. I could use a little better control over the army though, watching 20 guys chase down one guy accross the map can be annoying sometimes.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!
