    Do you need a kit tp play DVDs for X-Box???

    Do you need a kit to play DVDs for X-Box??? I didn't think so, but my friend said you do.

    I thought it did automatically.

    On a completely un-DVD related note you do have to buy a memory card for the PS2 unless you plan to beat a game in one sitting and/or want to start at the beginning every time you play. You don't need to with an Xbox, so relatively speaking ( and they ARE game consoles first and foremost ) it'll be cheaper to play games on an Xbox and about even out if you watch DVD's. Especially considering you'll never have to buy more than one DVD kit if you amass a large collection.......

    If the Xbox did rely on memory cards, you'd still only need one, since there are 1/10 the amount of worthy games on Xbox that there are on PS2.
