The newest issue of Japan's Dorimaga has an interview with Hiroyuki Takahashi, the president of Camelot. Camelot, a software developer, has previously worked on games like Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Shining Force III, Hot Shots Golf, and Golden Sun.

In the article, Takahashi indicates that his company is currently hard at work on a new role-playing game for the Nintendo GameCube, and the title should be revealed sometime in 2003. Nintendo and Camelot expect the game to hit in Japan during the same year.

Even if it's not Golden Sun, wouldn't you trust Camelot to deliver the goods? I mean, Golden Sun itself is a pretty new series that turned out brilliantly....

Still, if it is Golden Sun then a Gamecube owner I shall soon be.

I want Camelot to restore links with Sega so they can make more Shining Force games. Fuck Nintendo and their gay Mario sports spinoffs.

It's not that I don't trust Camelot, it's just that it is a great series and there's no real need to start another one this soon. But if it isn't Golden Sun whatever, too early to tell at this point.

I don't think there is any hope for that in the near future. Camelot have stated SF is in the past for them and that they'll be focusing on Golden Sun as their trademark franchise...... Plus, the new Shining Force is in development by someone else.

Maybe one day in the distant future it could happen again though... but still, if the new SF turns out well -and it should- I'd be more than happy to have a good SF and Golden Sun as continuing series.

I'd also love to see them make a Shining Force style "Tactics Golden Sun" though... that's for sure...
