EGM2 ran a code in an April issue about getting nude Lara Croft. I tried for like 20 minutes and then finally stopped![]()
I had a couple of kids over at my house. Watching them struggle through my videogames as they mashed the buttons repeatedly reminded of the early gaming memories in my life. So far, I can only think of a few, but I'll add more when they come to me.
a) The guy who invited me over to his house to watch him play a two player game. He wouldn't even let me touch the second controller for fear that I might do the unthinkable and hit start.
b) The guy in the arcade who, instead of beating me mercilessly, taught me how to play SF2.
c) Believing the lie my friend told me about TMNT II for NES: if you fight Shredder a certain way, you can go through the screen in the background, enter a warp zone and play 10 more stages in Dimension X. Shit, I was gullable.
d) The argument over how you pronounce "Guile" ("Gully" or "Gwile"?)
e) Writing in my grade school year-book "Open your eyes, Sega sucks." (See what a one-year sub to Nintendo Power can do to you?)
More later. Anybody have any of those?

1. Beating a couple of 20 year old dudes at VF 2 in an arcade about seven years ago, then seeing them get all pissy because I kicked their ass with Wolf.

Having to beat that board in Mario 3 in the first world where the board is moving with you for my cousin cuz she sucked too much.
Having to beat the Water Temple for Rich cuz he sucked too much (yeah, you know what I'm talking about!)![]()
I'll think of some more later.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
Trying to learn a game and having to deal with the Arcade Stalker. The guy who followed noobs to every machine they went to and beat the shit out of them in the game. What joy a 20 year old get out of destroying 12 year old is beyond my comprehension.

The debate which raged on from grade 7 thorugh grade 8: Which is better MK or SF.
"The characters look real in MK. In SF they look fake and gay(Nick: keep in mind these are grade 8 quotes)
Oh, and this isn't video gaming, but on the last day of school in like grade school, two of my friends were playing Guess Who in the corner while the rest of the class either watched a movie or something else. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but one guy accused another of cheating "You're fucking Frank, bitch!" and a fist-fight broke out.
Should we all guess who punched out who?

Frank.
The earliest video game memory I have is watching my parents and uncle play Intellivision AD&D in a dark room and getting completely freaked out.
There's also a picture of me playing Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack with my Dad from about the same time, I have no idea where it is now though...
