    I know at least one person has one of these... So how is this thing. How does the d-pad compare to that of the Saturn's, for example. Buttons, shape and feel, blah blah.

    I have one. I don't like it too much. The DC one is far superior.

    The PS2 pad has shitty buttons. Very stiff.

    Let me start by saying the Ascii pads are not as good as Saturn pads. However, they are far better than the stock PS2 pads for games that don't require analog control. As 88 said, the buttons are stiff, but at least the in the right places!

    I haven't had mine long enough to know.

    Yeah the DC one had a problem with getting too loose... I'm not sure about this one though... there hasn't been enough to play yet to break mine in. Maybe after I get GGXX. And as said, it's far better then the stock PS2 pad... plus I think the pad itself is more comfortable to hold without the vibration built in... but the buttons are a bit stiff.

  7. It's much better than the standard PS2 pad and probably the best alternative to play fighters with if you're not going to get a stick. And, unlike the DC version, you don't have to work around that chunky VMU hump in the back of the controller. God, that thing was huge!

    They rule too! I like the PS better than the DC one for one simple reason: The d-pad on the DC one is sort of sharp and pointy. If you compare the D-pad on the DC one to a stock Saturn controller you'll see what I mean. The PS2 FT2 is a little flatter on the d-pad and is more akin to the stock Saturn controller in this respect. I have no idea what people are saying about the buttons. They feel the same to me. I prefer a stick of course but just last night I let The Admiral use my Namco stick while I pounded the shit out of him at GGXX using my FT2. Nice controller indeed.

  10. Why thank you I've got a super fancy one for use at TFP. I'll be unveiling it the second gamers.com straightens out their boards. I tried to start a little mini contest to see if anyone was OG enough to tell me who that guy is. Nobody cared because I think my prize wasn't great enough. How about this: One sealed copy of Ikaruga for Dreamcast to the first TNL member that can correctly identify the guy in my avatar. Any takers now?
