Thread: Silpheed: The Lost Planet

  1. Silpheed: The Lost Planet

While I was at EB today looking for Panzer Dragoon Orta (no copies for sale, all pre-orders. Got my PDO at FutureShop), I noticed Silpheed: The Lost Planet was only $15 new, so I snagged it.

So if you're in Canada (not sure if it's the same price in the USA), and want to check out Treasure/Working Designs shooter, EB has a nice deal on it.

  2. $11.99 US, in case anyone else was wondering.

    JM

  3. I still need to pick it up. While not the best shooter ever, it still a decent game, and a pretty one as well.

  4. For that price, I would recommend getting it. Only drawback is the game is lengthy in cinematics and parts of levels that have nothing to shoot at, and so it really makes finishing the thing a chore. Then again, 15 bucks isn't bad at all...

  5. The music is pretty good, not as good as in Silpheed on MCD but still good. And the first part of stage 5 is some what neat but other than that.. meh.

In other words, it's a poor shooter. Let's hear it for mediocrity!

  7. hey, even a mediocre shooter wins points over a mediocre RPG or racing game, in my eyes.

I'd sorta kinda agree... But then I think that I don't have time for all the good games in the first place, so I shouldn't waste time on mediocre ones.

  9. good point
